This year is my first year teaching second, and boy, what an experience. My students are essentially four grade levels behind the students I just sent to fifth grade! I have to constantly remind myself that have to scale back on some of the responsibilities I'm used to giving my students. At the same time, I love being pleasantly surprised by all of the things my students CAN do.
One tool we used in fourth grade was Edmodo. I'm going to be looking for ways to use it in my current classroom. I think they'll love it. A new tool to use in my classroom is Twitter, and I hope that something we can delve into, also.
